Description
This paper discusses the specific value of factual data given by survivors for research on deportation but also the risks and problematic aspects of oral history interviews concerning factual accuracy. The paper also presents approaches on handling these data by the use of social network analysis. The network approach gives insight into the logics of the institutions involved in Nazi persecution as well as grwoing cohesion among the persecuted.
