Description

Remco Ensel’s chapter explores the first decade of the 21st century in Dutch post war society, which was characterised by numerous anti-Jewish incidents including verbal, physical racism and antisemitism involving Moroccan, second generation migrants. Most widespread were the derogatory uses of the word ‘Jew’ online and in the public domain through rap songs and booklets and the disturbance of commemorations for the victims of the Holocaust.
