On tour with mapping memories: sharing refugee youth stories in Montreal classrooms

The Mapping Memories project that the authors, documentary makers and educators have coordinated helps youth with refugee experience, use a variety of media tools to create digital stories. Creating a safe evironment was key and this meant offering youth the chance to tell any personal story. The stories documented were those of Leontine Uwabayeyi and Stephanie Gasana from Rwanda, and Ayanda Dube from Zimbabwe.
