Description

A KL Auschwitz subcamp was set up in the small village of Svetla, North Moravia. It was founded in November 1944 next to a thread making factory, and used Jewish women as forced labourers. Work in the factory began at 6.00 and lasted 10 hours. On 6 May 1945 the entire SS crew left the subcamp and two days later the Russians entered the subcamp and liberated the 300 female inmates
