Juliana Zarchi: A young life disrupted

Description

Juliana Zarchi was born in Kaunas, Lithuania to a German mother and a father of Jewish origin. As a 3 year-old she was forced to live in the Kaunas Jewish ghetto from where she escaped and remained hidden for the remainder of the German occupation. When the Soviet army moved in they were forcibly resettled in Tajikistan, and only returned to Kaunas in 1991
