Description

There were several Jewish museums and Judaica collections in Czechoslovakia before the war and these were preserved almost in their entirety with the approval of the Nazi office placed in authority over the Czech Jews. The article describes each museum in the order in which they were founded, gives an account of their fate during WWII, the situation after the war and recent attempts to reconstruct the original form of the collections.
