Description

In the period 1933-45 the Anatomical Institute in Halle received bodies of persons who had been sentenced to death and executed. This article attempts to answer 2 questions:
1. What happened to the bodies?
2. Were anatomical specimens from these bodies added to the institute's anatomical collection and are they still present today? If so, can they be traced back to the bodies of politically persecuted people?
