Description
In this article the author reconsiders the question: "Why study the Holocaust if not to prevent genocide in the future?". The author argues that the study of the Holocaust has led to an increasing awareness of of other examples of genocide. He also maintains that both Holocaust and genocide scholars must formulate suggestions to help end present genocides and prevent those that might occur in the future. The important lessons of the Holocaust shed light on and provide cautionary evidence with which to examine other genocides.
