Description

The gradual impoverishment of the Jews made it difficult for them to emigrate and it became a struggle for many who remained in the country to maintain themselves. Most entrepeneurs were not able to withstand the pressure and almost 80% of all Jewish retailers had dissolved or sold their businesses by July 1938.
