This paper closely examines the writings of the intellectual elite in early post-war Poland (1945-1947) on the genocide of Polish Jewry and its remnants within Polish society. It focuses on the ways in which this elite dealt with a particular subject - Polish attitudes towards the Jewish minority during the Holocaust and the early post-war period.
