Description
Adolf Hitler promoted a vision of a racial state, restructuring German politics and society and eviscerating the independence of the judiciary. The Nazi criminal code failed to fulfil the basic requisitesof a legal system. Minorities and opponents of the regime were repressed. Most lawyers voluntarily ceded their conscience to the regime, preferring money and power to morals and principle.
