Description

Provides an analysis of Hitler's role in the Third Reich arguing that while Hitler's ideology cannot alone provide an answer to the Holocaust one needs to examine the conditions within which and the institutional instruments through which it was transformed into reality. Nevertheless, one needs only to attempt to write Hitler out of the script to appreciate that he was the essential actor in the tragedy.
