Description

Examines the German Church Struggle from the following perspectives: 1933-1935 when the struggle was understood solely as a Church Struggle with the opportunity for nonconformism; 1935-38 when it became an unwanted political struggle; 1938-45 when it disintegrated as a mismanaged political struggle and after 1945 when re-interpretation followed, half directed toward Church struggle and half toward resistence.
