The first Slovak Jewish Museum was established in 1928 and operated until the WWII. The collection was then deposited for safe keeping in Prague. It was returned in 1993 and the Museum was reopened. This volume has various articles on different aspects of the Museum namely:the unique story of two kettubot from Semlin; the archive collection of the Jewish Museum in Preslov; the restoration of an armchair for a bride from Kosice; the Propper family; passements and passement-like textiles in the collection of the Jewish Museum in Preslov; Eugen Barkany and photography; and a critical reading of the Menyhert Lanyi text on the Jewish Museum.
