A moving photodocumentary showing the everyday lives of Jewish people in 28 communities in Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, the USSR and Yugoslavia. These diminished, yet thriving, communities who survived the Holocaust were photographed in 1984-85.
