In tackling the ethically difficult task of finding a visual language to represent the past, established directors and a new generation of filmmakers are addressing the Holocaust in original ways. They also examine perpetrators, guilt and memory. These scholars of cultural, literary, and film studies analyse 21st century Holocaust films across national and linguistic boundaries.
