Recreates the lives of the Zwerling family in the Jewish quarter of Lemberg (Lvov). Details her grandparents' and parents' lives with great psychological and emotional acuity. Genin was born in Berlin in 1932, emigrated to Australia in 1939 and returned to Berlin in 1963.
