Description

World War II as experienced by a child. We follow eight year-old Hania to a small cellar in the Warsaw Ghetto and at the last minute she is spitited away to a convent. After the fall of Warsaw, she flees with a Nun to safety on a farm. Frequently required to make life or death decisions for herself, the child keeps a cool head and a sense of self-worth which is nothing short of heroic
