Description

Most of the essays here derive from a 1987 academic conference of creative writers, literary critics, historians and philosophers. The collection focuses on the frustrating difficulty of writing about the Shoah's painful reality and on the question of whether any linguistic effort can ever fully measure the depths of the Holocaust's evil.
