Description

Based on extensive research in previously unexplored Turkish diplomatic archives in Ankara and Paris as well as on examinations of American, Israeli, French and German archives, oral testimonies and the published memories of many of those who were involved, this book sheds light on Turkey's efforts to rescue thousands of Jews from the Nazi-occupied and Nazi-sympathetic countries of Europe.
