Description

Arad was thirteen years old when the Germans overran Warsaw. He escaped to the Soviet-occupied part of Poland and when the Nazis came two years later, he became a partisan in the Lithuanian forests. After the war, he emigrated to Palestine and was active in Israel's War of Independence. Includes detailed map of Vilna and its environs including the forests.
