Description

An account of the career of Barbie, known as the "Butcher of Lyon" for his treatment of captured resistance fighters and his part in killing and deporting Jews when he was head of the Gestapo there. In 1983 Barbie was expelled from Bolivia, where he had hidden for many years, brought to France and charged with war crimes.
