Description

A compelling description of Jewish life in Galicia, with special emphasis on the author's hometown, Sniatyn, from the turn of the century till the outbreak of World War II. Of special interest is the account of wartime service in the Austro-Hungarian army, the post-World War I progroms; it makes heavy use of primary sources and contains many illustrations.
