Talks about his early life in the Jewish section of Hrubieszow, Poland and of how the 1930s brought some fear of antisemitic violence by local inhabitants. He survived the camps of Budzyn, Majdanek, Plaszow, Ravensbruk and Sachsenhausen as well as a death march near the end of the war
